A review in The Hindu - Coimbatore edition 17th Aug'07
Here is the link for the article appeared in The Hindu - Coimbatore edition on the performance for "Naadham" - Coimbatore on the 11th Aug'07

Article as flws:
Marked by vivacity and speed
If his skill and ‘gnanam’ earned Sathyanarayana the admiration of the discerning rasikas, his tender age endeared him to everyone. B. Ramadevi
Photo: K. Ananthan. NIMBLE FINGERS: K.Sathyanarayana.
Master K. Satyanarayana played Carnatic music on the keyboard under the auspices of Naadham at Rathna Regent, Coimbatore, where some of his fans had brought their friends along. The organisation brings to light young talent. Only this time, the ar tiste was young (12 years), but not his talent.
Satyanarayana’s concert was marked by vivacity, speed and vibrant imagination.
He commenced his concert with a varnam in Vasantha and moved on to ‘Vara Vallabha Ramanaa’ (Hamsadhwani-GNB). Apt for a Saturday, he sang the Navagraha kriti, ‘Diwakara Tanujam, Sanaihcharam’ (Dikshitar) and followed it up with ‘Sadhinchane,’ Pancharatna kriti in Arabhi (Tyagaraja). Elegant presentation ‘Sogasu Jooda Taramaa’ (Kannadagowla) was presented elegantly while ‘Kanda Joodumee’ (Vachaspathi) was taken for detailed presentation with adequate alapana, niraval and swarakalpanas.
With an unassuming smile on his lips, Satyanarayana let his nimble fingers dance on the keyboard pouring out soft, soothing swaras. ‘Muruga Muruga Enraal’ (Saveri) by Periyasami Thooran and ‘Saarasamukhi’(Gowda Malhar) by Muthaiah Bhagavatar were right in place before he entered into a leisurely alapana of Thodi for ‘Shree Krishnam Bhaja Maanasa’ (Dikshitar).
B. Ananthakrishnan on the violin was most supportive and his solos drew wide applause.
After this sumptuous feast followed the thani which was nothing short of an ecstatic dance by Kumbakonam Swaminathan on the mridangam and Harihara Subramaniam on the ghatam.
After the thillana in Desh, Satyanarayana wound up with ‘Ramdhun’ giving his concert a sober, spiritual conclusion.
If his skill and ‘gnanam’ earned him the admiration of the discerning rasikas, his tender age endeared him to everyone.

Concert in Coimbatore for "Naadham" - 11th Aug'07
A concert in Coimbatore has always been a happy one for Sathya and this one for Naadham at Ratna Regent Hotel held on the 11th Aug'07 was another he would remember for a long time to come. It was houseful through out and every one, from the artists, audience and the PA system team were with high energy levels. The concert was blessed by Sri Gopinathan with his family, Sri Krishnamoorthy - a renowned vidwan (Special Human) to mention a few.
Right from the start the team of Sathya with Ananthakrishnan on violin, Kumbakonam Swamiathan on mrudhangam and Harihar Sunramaniam on ghatam presented a soulful music. Ananthakrishnan was always applaudiong Sathya particularly in Thodi allapana. Infact every one of them were really complementing each other all through. The audience response was indeed great with due acknowledgement for the artists when ever they excelled.
Swaminathan and Harihara Subramaniam gave enhanced the concert with able support on percussion and were out standing while presenting the thani avarthanam. Nice to see the organizers encouraging Ms Saritha (probably the same age of Sathya) to be the host for the show to present the artist and she did it very well.
Mr Seshadri Rao, a rasika who has attended the concert at the Kamatchi amman temple in Coimbatore earlier, informed that he was seeing a great improvement in Sathya's presentation. It was indeed a great a feeling when Sathya concluded the concert with Raghupathy ragahava rajaram as every one present also chanted and the hall was full, now also with great divine vibration. It was also a moment of pride for Sathya when a rasika gave him cash reward appreciating his talents.
The song list rendered is as follows:
01. Varnam - Vasantha - Adi
02. Varavallaba - Hamsadwani - Adi (Ragam & Swaram)
03. Diwakaram - Yathukula Kamboji - Ekam

06. Kantajudumi - Vachaspathi - Adi (Ragam & Swaram)
07. Muruga Muruga endral - Saveri - Misrachapu (Outline ragam)
08. Sarasamuki - Gowda Malhar - Rupakam

0 7th Aug'07 - A day in Sri A R Rehman's AM Studios for Sathya's new DVD project
It was a great day 7th Aug, 2007 for all of us as Sathya's first video project titled "Sathya's Synthesis" was shot yesterday. The interesting fact is it was done at the "AM Studios" the state of the art studio owned by Sri A R Rahman. Sathya is indeed blessed to have got this oppurtunity and this is another great day to be remembered.
Originally the shoot was to have happened on the 4th followed by a live concert on the 5th Aug'07. However due to unforeseen circumstances it could not happen and when we were worrying on the status of the project, Mr Paul Jacob who has taken all efforts for the making of this project called up on the 6th afternoon and informed to be ready for the shoot on the 7th at the studios of AR Rahman. We were thrilled and so were the other artists involved in the project namely Donan Murray - Lead guitar, Balu - kanjeera & mrudhangam, Siva - drums, & guest artists Embar S Kannan - Silent violin & vocal and Ananthakrishnan - Hinsdustani vocal.
Mr Balaji was co-ordinating the camera units with Mr Anias and the audio was controlled by Mr Siva the engineer at the studio along with Mr Tony, his assistant. While the set up took a little time the recording started around 1245 pm and the entire list of songs were shot by 1030pm. It is indeed a miracle of sorts that this could happen as normally for this kind of a project it takes a minimum of 2 - 3days considering this to be visual project.
The project consists of a sloka redention by Sathya to begin with followed by Mallari. Two pieces of Sathya's own composition on ragam Keeravani & Thilang, Six Thirukkural phrases for which Sathya has composed tunes and performed in ragamalika format with vocals, one on Srothasavani by Embar S Kannan, classical numbers in Narayana - Suddha Dhanyasi, Niravathysukatha - Ravichandrika, Krishnanee Begane baro - Yamuna kalyani and kavadi sindu are the other numbers.
The recording was indeed a great success thanks to Mr Paul Jacob and team lead by Mr Hemanth administrative incharge who had put lots of efforts for the same. It will take a while for editing the visuals and should be ready for release by mid September. We look forward to perform a live concert before the release in front of large audience and request all your support for the same.
Happy to share few photos taken during this recording. It has been a great experience working on this project and it is certain the album will satisfy the interest of the viewers.

It was indeed one of the best auditorium Sathya has performed in India at Kala Bharathi for Visaka Music and Dance Academy, Visagapatinam on the 31st July'07. As requested by Sri Sri Rambabu, Trustee of the Academy, Sathya presented a concert of great value to bring out the nuances of carnatic music during the concert. Starting of with Abogi varnam Sathya elaborated Hamsadwani, Nagaswarali, Vakulabaranam & Shanmugapriya ragas during the alapana and special mention was for the sruthibetham he effected to bring in Srothaswani during the alap of Shanmugapriya. and the thanam played during the RTP. Every one appreciated the thala gnana of Sathya and the thillana composed by Kalaimamani Ku,. A. Kanyakumari stole the entire show at the end. All the enhancement artists enjoyed the concert and so was Sathya which made this concert a great success.
The authorities indeed were happy to have had a decent turnout for the concert and promised to patronize Sathya continuously in the future. This was indeed a great credit for Sathya's efforts as it was indeed a great forum of knowledgeable audience. Mr Rambabu, Trustee (on the extreme right) and Dr P.V.C. Sharma - Programme Organising Committee along with the President are seen in the photo above.
