Modern Margazhi - a Musical Twist in the Thirupavai month of December

After getting into our new premises with House warming held on the 4th November, 2016 Sathya also got a Dream day into his fold with a Private Room - KBS Sound Zone - for himself and that too being opened up by The Legendary Sri. SPB sir on the 4th December, 2016.

This event, the zone has transformed Sathya into a matured musician and has made him think of a new project on taking up Thirupavai and make it sound nearer to one & all with modern musical arrangements. Yes that's the concept of Modern Margazhi and this has been a Grand success from the day one i.e 15th December, 2016. Yes Sathya has been recording the music, taking the video, editing, mastering and uploading in Facebook and Youtube one Thirupavai a day.

The first one Marghazhi Thingal was uploaded on the 15th December, a day earlier and it continues till date i.e. 16th track for 31st December is already uploaded on 30th December, 2016. This process has kept us all busy all through the day and we hope to continue and travel through the rest of 14 as well :) 

Thanks to all his well wishers this project #modernmargazhi has got a good audience with over 1000 views in fb on a daily basis plus over 100 views on Youtube.

It was a great opportunity for Sathya to dedicate a concert with all of Dr. M Balamuralikrishna's composition in AIR on the 9th December, 2016 - The Same day he started his journey into Carnatic on Keyboard concept and performing in December Music festival in the year 2001 when he was 6 and its indeed a long fruitful journey of 15 years! Into the 16th year with this dedication is indeed a great step forward and with all your good wishes and Almighty's Grace lets have a soulful Musical journey ahead. 

Sathya also performed this December with Smt. Seetha Rajan's team to present Bharathiar Songs followed up with concerts for Bharat Kalachar - teaming with Adyar D Balasubramani and for Sri Thyaga Brahma Gana Sabha apart from the concert with Embar Kannan's Crossroads and his own fusion concert for S7S Power Switch corporate event and the Devine concert in Maha Periyava's Padhugai Temple in Mylapore.

A Shocking November 2016

A Real Shocking month with  Guru Dr. M. Balamuralikrishna attaining the Lotus Feet of Almighty on the 22nd November, 2016.

We believe he is always with us and will be blessings us all.

Its his blessings that the instrument got its due recognition in All India Radio and its indeed a sad month for Music field as we have lost a Deon of the Industry and a Humble Human.

Blessed moment of instant composition of lyrics by bubAji and music by Sathya on Goddess VASAVI!  Here is the video of the the instance of Sathya making entire crowd in the Temple sing and dance to his Tune of VASAVI THAYE - lyrics having the first letters of UYIR ezhuthu in TAMIZH language.

October 17, 2016 concert in Kumaran Kundram with presence of LORD MURUGA in the form of SEVAL

A concert which made us all realise that Lord MURUGA was there all through out in the form SEVAL! This Seval was enjoying the concert and exhibited its liking with good dance movemnets, slow walking and even resting for a while and at the end moving out once the concert was over.

Blessed were the people who were present! A divine Experience!

Vaigarayan's Andhadhi on Goddess Rajarajeshwari October 2016

After the successful tour of Australia it was divine to be in India for Navarathri and what better can happen than composing music for Goddess Rajarajeswari and Kovai Kaniga Parameshwari's VASAVI.

Just divine blessings and thanks to VAIGARAYAN for the lovely lyrics with ANDHADHI - first word of a poem being the last word of it and within its structure having the last word of one para as the first of the subsequent paragraph. A real bliss and Sathya had her amma Lalitha sing this. Listen to this and get the blessings.

Spetember second half - A great Mile stone made!

Its always nice to present concerts and in particular a country like Australia one should indeed be blessed. Sathya is and thanks to Mr & Mrs Chary, Jet Austrlia Foundation, Melbourne Chapter this was possible.

It was a great moment to be part of Bharat Ratna Smt. M.S. Subbulakshmi Centenary Music Festival Under GURU Vidhushi Kum. A. Kanyakumari Organised by Shanmukananda Sabha, Mumbai on the 17th September, 2016.

This is indeed a concert that showed that Almighty is always with you! Yes inspite of heavy rain pouring like waterfalls on the electric connections, none of the people around were indeed disturbed and the concert was on for the full length of 2 and half hours!

Miracle is not the word to be used as it was sheer Bliss and Blessings of Lord Vinayaga which had turned this as one of the best concerts. This also brought it a new Family of well wishers in to our family and we are so honoured with this addition. Mr and Mrs Ravindran - our Neighbours from the 11th November as we shift our residence to 1 Nachiappan Street, Mahalingapuram, Chennai - 34. 

Vinayagar Chathurthi Concert 2016 - 5th September

This is one more concert which has got additions in to our well wishers family and also one paving way for our shifting our residence.  

The recognition in the form of performing along with Smt. Seetha Raja came in with her presentation of Bharathiar krithis on the 12th September, 2016. 

A Birthday Gift to Appa and August - A Month of Recognition

What could be a great gift than this from Sathya to his Appa - DAD, named krishna with Krishna Nee Begane - FANTASTIC. Sathya on a ROLL on ROLI!

Recognition in any form is always welcome, especially to be recognised as a person along with your GURU is indeed a blessing. 

Yes this happened on the 7th August, 2016 with Sathya being honoured to be invited as Guest of Honour for Gopal Shyamantak Prasad's SVOBODA - a Fusion Presentation at Alliance Francaise, College Road Chennai. Sathya was sitting along with his Guru Sri. Sadanandham, a Musicain par Excellence being a Leading Guitar artiste of India. 

The fact was Sada sir was more happy to share stge with Sathya than any one of us which shows his Humility!

ROLI Seaboard RISE - a New Companion for Sathya

The most important transformation came in with ROLI added to Sathya's instrument bank and here is one of the first sample of his attempt to play a track.

It
 was a fact that the hard work and years of practice in playing keyboard did help him do his beat on ROLI, however this instrument is different in all perspectives and to handle it with ease is indeed a divine blessings only!

The concert for NANDHIKESHWARA Thala Vidhlaya with Sri. Adyar D. Balasubramani was a grand one with audience of all age groups enjoying it in that divine Kumaran Kundram Venue.

Thanks to Thillaisthanam Suriyanarayanan ji for having created a great institution and making good number of quality Mrudhangam students, as well as creating a good Rasika base.

2016 UK Concert Tour

Consistent performance and Hard work results in this form for Sathya and it was indeed a Blessed moment to visit UK under ORUPANNAI for the second time, featuring in thier Charity Fund Raiser Concert Series.

Thanking Prof. Swaminathan and Team for the wonderful opportunity extended with excellent arrangements. Sincere thanks to all the artists who had performed with us during this tour and many miracles happened!

Yes! Appreciating Sathya's efforts a young couple in UK of Indian Origin blessed Sathya with a ROLI Seaboard Rise instrument during this concert tour and were also a great Host for Sathya's subsequent trip to play for a wedding concert. The after effects of the second visit also stands to be stated as Miracle and these incidents and circumstances brings out the best time to understand people and their Nature.

May 2016 Details

The Joy in life seeing the happiness you create on others and this was done by Team KBS Inculcation led by Sathya. This was evident in the Annual "Sangeetha Bhushanam Embar Sadagapon Award of Excellence" presentation by Kbs Inculcation on the May 28th, 2016.

This presentation was followed by Sathya's concert at Maha Periyava PAdhugai Temple in Mylapore and the highlight was Sneha who is under the Tutelage of Sathya got a first opportunity to perform along with him in a full fledged concert the next day i.e. 29th May, 2016.

It has once again been a good year and coming to the first quarter of 2016 we have continued good presentation performed in the months of February with private performances and to 2 major Public Concerts - first on the 25th for Tamil Nadu Music and FIne Arts University for their Founder's Day Celebrations at their OAT with 6 wonderful Medleys and the second on the 29th February, a special concert for the special extra day being a Leap Year with Embar S Kannan in CROSSROADS.

This was followed by back to back 3 wonderful presentations as appreciated by the audience on the 6th March at Thripanithura Sivan Temple for their Sivarathri Music Festival, on the 7th March with Layapriyan Sri. Papanasam Kumar and Team in BVB on the Sivarathri day for the Agandam and on the 8th at the happening place Srikalahasthi especially 8th being a Solar Eclipse day. All these were indeed a divine blessings what with a Great unbelievable Dharshan of Lord Balaji in the morning.

Getting in to the New Tamizh New Year we look forward to the 2 important concert in on the 19th March for Sathguru Sath Sangam, Villiwakkam and on the 23rd March for Rasigapriya, OMR apart from some private concerts.

With all your blessings and wishes we move forward with great memories to get more and more of them in the days to come.

January 2016 - A Month of Recognition to the Instrument and Artiste.

It has been a grand opening this year as it was last year too! Yes with the first of this year for Sri Parthasarathy Swami Sabha on the 02nd January, it has been going great with lots of quality concert presentation. The team with Karaikal Venkatasubramanian on violin, London Balachanda on Mrudhangam and Sunil Kumar on Kanjeera enhanced the concert so well. Improvement, for the good, is clearly seen in all dimensions and the turn up of people for our Keyboard presentation are also very encouraging. 

The testing factor was the concert on the 14th January for Bhratiya Vidya Bhavan which was request on the evening of 13th around 530pm and decided to present a Thematic Navagraha Krithis concert. Requested BVB to give this information in Their Hindu advertisement the following day. To our surprise the mini all in the second floor was full and the concert also came up so well teaming uo with Madurai Venkatasubramanian on Mrudhangam, Sunil Kumar on Kanjeera and Hariharasubramanian on the Ghatam. 

Concerts in Team Rajesh Vaidhya are adding new dimensions to the approach to music and its reflected in the good way during solo presentations as well. The reach and the visibility factors are also improving and it as well helps probogate the concept of performing Carnatic on keyboard to a wider audience. 

A recognition to the Guest Judge for a reality singing competition in ETv for the legendary Sri. SPB - SP Balasubramaniam sir which was telecast on the 11th and 18th January improved reach and people all over the world are in touch. The humbleness of SPB sir was evident in both the telecast days with hism showering the greatest compliments. Look for the great moments in teh video links.

The greatest recognition for the instrument and the efforts being taken as an artiste came up with the opportunity to present a Lecture-Demonstration in the National Conference held in Chennai  by The Tamil Nadu Music And Fine Arts University, Chennai and South Zone Cultural Centre, Thanjavur. The title for teh presention was given as "Keybaord - The Trendsetter in Indian Classical Music". 

This was one of our long felt dreams to show case the potential of the instrument perse to a wider audience and this was indeed a golden opportunity. The presentation was enhanced by Adyar D. Balasubramani on Nadaswaram and Kumbakonam Swaminathan on Mrudhangam with Thirunavukarasu and Das Kennedy from Karthick Audio on the Sound. It was a grand success with The Vice Chancellor Tmt. Veenai Gayathri accepted to open a new Department for Keyboard in the University if we could directly involve in taking it on! What a Recognition for the instrument and the Artiste!

The concert for Maha Periyava Padhugai Temple was purely divine and in fact artists and the audience, as said by one all were taken into Transe for many a moments during this concert. Thanks to the organiser who has give a lively Periyava vigragam and to a well wisher who has give another vigraham of Periyava and both Periyava's entry into our house, we are sure will make us prosperous for ever.

Immediately after this lecdom being honoured as a chief guest and children throbbing to take pictures added the value of recognition and reached heights with DD asking to give an intro for the 169th Sath Guru Thyagarajar's Aaradhana. 

While the concert with Rajesh Vaidhya at Chowdaiah Hall was Excellent in many ways including the first time jamming opportunity with Mysore Manjunath ji, the concert at Gayana Samaj was of different experience with first time jamming with Team Mahathi.

It has indeed been a Year almost we have been in touch, rather to have updated this blog due to various reasons and most important being the influence of WHATSAPP and FACEBOOK. Yes as we have been in touch with people al over the world with these two and also with Twitter, the habit of posting information or connecting through this Blog has taken a back seat.

It is assured that this blog will surely be updated on a regular Basis from now on.

After the Upgradition of "A Grade" happened, it was another Mile stone Crossed and it was indeed a good Year with lots of good concert presentation and to identify few bests of last year It should be mentioned as follows:
