Concert at Indian Fine Arts - 30 Dec'08
It was early morning today with the concert timed from 9 - 1030 am. There was indeed a decent number of audience present who were appreciative of the performance of the team of Sathya with B. Ananthakrishnan on violin and R. Sankaranarayanan on Mrudhangm. Sathya had praises from both his team mates in many places and they also excelled as ususal in thier field of play. Sri Srinivasa, Secretary of India Fine Arts was lavish in his praise for Sathya's efforts on the keybaord and wanted to listen to a Behag krithi "Irakam varadhadharku enna karanam". We happened to know about the keyboard concert to be held on Dec 30th in German Hall. It was an interesting experience listening to melodious carnatic musical verses on the keyboard. I wish Satya as well as his family member who support him all the very best for this New Year 2009 and may success come to him.
I also happened to see your website which has been systematically updated with details of all concernts and upcoming events. Good work! I also suggest that for the benefit of people learning keyboard instrcument your website may also add a section where keyboard notes of popular film songs, carnatic pieces, folks songs, etc. This would be a good starting point and later probably even bloggers and musicians can even exchange notes, ideas and knowledge.
