Reporting from DOHA – 21st April
What an interesting debut overseas performance for Sathya at the Ul Banish Club – Ummessaid with the blessings of Sri Ganesh Srinivasan – Founder member Music Lovers club – DOHA. It was a new experience concert for Sathya, B Ananathakrishnan on violin for whom this is again a debut overseas tour and Thillaisthanam Suriyanarayanan on to his second overseas tour.
The audience of over 100 where given a musical treat by the team with Sathya starting the concert with the crisp Mohana varnam followed by Mahaganapim on ragam Naattai. He then went on to perform Thyagaraja’s Seethamma Mayamma with kalpana swaram which was applauded by the audience. Specail mention is the attention he got and the appreciation which he received for the Hungarian dance number. In this piece Sathya and Ananthakrishnan stole the hearts of every one with melodies music progression. Suriyanarayanan was at his best part throughout and gave an excellent presention with a sweat thani.
Sathya was satisfying the audience with all their requests – also with some film songs. The team held the crowd throughout the concert under their control and it was indeed a great work done by MR Trevor – the sound engineer who had provided the best possible / available system at the venue.
