It has been a good concert presentation tour (and o is off the concert) for this team and hope Sathya maintains and does his best in the rest. Dr Ram Sriram one o the officials of CAMAGA - Atlanta, gave a good speech highlighting all the positives of all the three artists and Sathya in particular. St Louis concert for Sangeetha on april 25, 2009

A perfect change in weather form 38 degree F to 90 degree F bringing remembrance of Chennai weather for all of us did not change the quality of performance by the team of Sathya, Embar Kannan and Poongulam Subramanian this day. Ms Mahitha Bharadwaj, who also performs Carnatic on keyboard introduced the artists and it was one of the nice things that a cultural exchange of keyboard artists has taken place with this concert in St. Louis as Ms Mahitha has already performed in Chennai the city where Sathya lives. The main ragam for the day was in Mohanam and the team also performed few krithis as per audience request. The video clipping of Mr Bala tells the success story of this concert.

Sathya's concert at Calgary - April 19, 2009

Back to back concerts are always difficult particularly when it involves long air travel. Yes the artists traveled from Montreal to Calgary and after just few hours of rest presented a good concert which was well appreciated by all in the audience. Mr UdayThakor was in particular on the appreciation and blessings received by Sathya from Mr Mahindra Patel ho is considered to be a good musicologist working in The University of Calgary.

Sathya for the first time attempted to elaborate Dwajavanthi raaga aalapana and Sathya was so happy to have got applause not only from the knowledgeable audience but also from his mentor and uncle Embar Kannan right on stage. While there was graceful Charukesi from Sathya & Kannan, Poongulam Subramaniam was at his best all throughout and in particular in Thani avarthanam. The pattern he played for Akilandeswari was really appreciated as he brought in feel of Tabla for this song. Here is the video clipping link of the concert, thanks to Ms Arthi, student of Embar Kannan, who had helped in recording these clippings.

The RTP on ragam Sumanesaranjani was the highlight of the concert with Pallavi lines being "Vaa Guha Muruga Shanmuga - Valli Manla Vadivelava". The ragamalikla kalpanaswarams on Reethigowla, JOG, Shanmugapriya and Priyadharshini alternatively by Embar Kannan & Sathya with Sathya playing all the ragams on the reverse before concluding with a good korvai on Sumanesaranjani. The team work on this piece was very much appreciated by one and all.

Concert at Montreal April 18, 2009

It was a new destination, new ambiance and a new concert for Sathya. With Embar Kannan and Poonglam Subrmaniam Sathya did a good presentation and which helped him to establish in the minds of the large turn out of audience inspite of the fact that the major Football tournament at National level was on. Mr Gopi Menon and the host Dr & Mrs Krishnamoorthy had arranged for a grand dinner and all went well once again with a grand standing ovation for Sathya's team. Mr Alex 7 Alex had given a perfect PA system for the audience but the stage monitors were not sufficient for the artist. Its Almighty's grace the concert became a successful one.

It was another hard day for the team of Sathya as they slept late on April 11, 2009 after returning home late and had to wake up at 330 am as the flt to Austin was via Chicago which was to depart at 6Am. It was a two hour concert and the team's presentation was well received and appreciated by a good number of audience who attended. Sri Surya Subramaniam was thankful to Sri Poongulam Subramaniam and the rest of the artist team for having him perform for this concert. LearnQuest Boston concert on April 11th, 2009

It was a good 30 mts we took for the sound check and it did help us with the outcome of the 90 mts concert which was very well appreciated. It was a huge stage and Mr Marc Rossi, Professor in Berkley University was all praise for Sathya's efforts in bringing out the nuances of carnatic music on keyboard as he himself has performed in many fusion concert with lots of Indian artists. The way audience showed interest to see Sathya and greet him told us on the success of the concert and the highlight was that Suraj, a 10th Grade student in Boston showed interest to learn some tips from Sathya when he was taken to his house by his father. Embar Kannan and Poongulam Subramanian appreciated Sathya for the kalapramanam he had played for the krithis and also for the timing sense in finishing a concert.

Concert at Portland for Rasika - Portland on April 04, 2009

It has been a dream come true situation for Sathya as he is actually now in USA for a concert tour. Yes thanks to Smt. Bhargavi Sundararajan (who had first planned his tour in 2007), Smt. Kala Iyer and efforts of Late Coimbatore Sri. C. R. Gopinathan, this has become a reality now. Sathya is scheduled for week end concerts from the April 04th till May 31st, 2009. The team of Sathya with Sri Embar S. Kannan & Sri Poongulam Subramaniam are reached Portland on the 3rd April at 12noon and did a lec dem at "Intel" at 4:30pm which was indeed a miracle, considering the jetlag and the time difference! Yes it all was possible just because of the Almighty's grace!

The concert on the 4th April'09 was at Performing Arts Center, Portland and it was indeed well attended & well received. The success of the Sathya's efforts to play the nuances of Carnatic on keyboard was knon when Sri & Smt Jayanthi Raman were so appreciative and promised to invite Sathya to Portland as and when possible. Smt Raman went on to say that, "I don't like the presentation of Carnatic of keyboard and had accepted to host this only for the sake of good accompanying team. I was ecvcen sceptical in attending the lec-dem and having attended same ensured i attend the concert also. I can really surprised that i was only hearing Veena & Mandolin from Sathya's Keyboard and not the disturbing electronic tone. Sathya has a great future and we will surely extend our support in all ways." Well it is indeed a great statement coming from a person who herself is a seasoned Bharathanatyam exponent and a student of vocal music under Sri Maharajapuram Santhanam. The team was also trilled when they got a standing ovation after the concert was over with real appreciation

The list of krithis rendered during the evening is as follows:
