Maha Periyava's blessings for Sathya with a performance on 20th MAy'08

Sathya in Maha Periyava Jayanthi in Thiruvengadu, TamilNadu

It was a dream come true and a golden oppurtunity to perform for Maha Periyava's Jayanthi at Thiruvengadu on the 20th May'08. Yes from the time our friend Mr Hariharan whose child is a student of this Patasala in Thiruvengadu took us there we always wanted an oppurtunity and it could have no better day than the Jayanthi day of Maha Periyava for Sathya to perform here. We all felt the presence of Periyava and the concert with his grace came out very well with Villiwakkam Raghuraman on Violin, Arjun Ganesh on the Mrudhangam and Harihara Subramaniam on the Ghatam. We had left Chennai around 6am and reached Thiruvengadu around 1230pm after a brief stop in Pondy at the Mother's Ashram. The concert was scheduled for the after noon from 330 - 530 and the entire audience had been cheering the artist with their appreciation.

Once Chandrasekara song was performed as the 5th song, the audience became very lively and were with full of energy. It is a padasala teaching Vedic lessons to the students and this day they were bringing in various students from TamiNadu for a interactive session. The Jayathi and this Patasala is being managed by Advocate Sri Venkatasubramaniam who spends his wealth and health for these students. It was fortunate that we knew a father Sri Hariharan, of a student by name Chandrasekar that we visited this holy place and also had the opportunity to perform with this ever living God Maha Periyava. You can see the photos taken at the venue in the link above and also few video clippings in the following link.

Sathya was presented with a brass bracelet which was in the hands of a great Veda Upasagar Sri Natarajan who wanted all his blessings to be showered on Sathya with this present. It has a Vinayagar embossed with OM encrypted all over the bracelet. a divine oppurtunity and a divine gift too!!
