Goddess Garmarakshambika Temple Utsavam Concert May 22, 2010 after Keyboard entering "AIR"

What a blessing from the Almighty to have got an oppurtunity to perform at this temple after  appearing for the long awaited Audition in "AIR"! Yes its the same feeling of a couple getting the first news of the woman knowing that she is carrying! We are now waiting for "Suga Prasavam" in terms of god result. This oppurtunity indeed makes it really feel moved and the concert was indeed a huge audience in spite of the fact that this is the first time ever Sathya is performing in this temple Town.

The audience was more of locals and to respect their music knowledge and also to satisfy their film music requirements Sathya's team presented a concert with a mix of popular numbers in both the genres. Sathya also performed a piece composed with Drums Sridhar during his recent holiday trip in Kodaikannal.

The highlight of the concert was the Pancharathna Mallari with ragams Naatai, Gowla, Varali, Arabi & Sri set to Misra Thriputa Thalam which was performed so well by the team of Sri Adyar Balasubramani on Nadaswaram, Sri Karakurichi Balaji on Veena, Kumbakonam Swaminathan on Mrudhangam, Tabla Pradeep, Drums Sridhara, Valangaiman Hariharasubramanian on Ghatam, Ghata Singari Rajagopal and Vijay on Timing. While Balaji performed Malardhum Malaradha, BAlasubramani performed Ullathul Nalla Ullam as their solo popular numbers from film side, Sathya chose Senthamizh Then Mozhiyal, OrulanalPodhuma, Paatum Nane and Maraindhirundhu Parkum Marmamenna.

The melody team performed Vathapi Ganapathim, Buntureethikolu, Bo sambo apart from Sathya's composition and topped up with Madurai Somu's - this village is the birth place of this great legendary singer, Marudhamalai as the penultimate song which was very well received by a large audience. Sathya performed his medley which indeed got the appreciation from one and all. It was almost a 3 hr concert which was well received and thanks to Mr & Mrs Kridhnamurthy, Auditor from Aiyanawaram, Chennai this was indeed a great blessing for Sathya & team.
