Sathya for Amass Chits for the 12th Anniversary celebrations



Sathya today performed for Amass chit's 12th Anniversary celebration and incidently Sathya is running 12. He was accompanied by Villivakkam Raghuraman on violin and Thillaisthanam Suriyanarayanan on Mrudhangam.

It was interesting gathering at Ethiraj Kalyana Mandapam felicitating the chit fund members to intaract with each other and to meet the directors which is not a common thing in this industry. Adults joined with children to play some games and it was full of fun. Sathya along with his thatha also pplayed few games and both won gifts too. Kudos to the company to have been organising the aniversary this way.

As wished by the organising team Sathya decided to give a mix of carnatic and carnatic based film songs. Starting off with Vathapi Ganapathim he then played Amma Endrazhaikadha a song based on Kalyani. The he played 'Sobillu' to be followed 'Raja Raja' on ragam Niroshta. Brocheva was also performed which was well received with great applause from the audience.
Sathya went on to play 'Srichakradhara Simhasaneswari' a krithi learnt kid courtesy members of rasikapriya yahoo grp and he dedicated it to them mentionioning the names of MS Usha, Ms Anusha and Mr Venugopalan.

The next song was 'RA RA' based on srothaswani which followed 'Vasantha mullai' on based on ragam Charukesi. The song 'Kanda nall Mudhalai' on madhuvanthi was folowed by 'Raghupathi Raghava Rajaram' a namavali with which SAthya signed off for the day.

The oppurtunity was thru Mr Aramudhan (in the first picture with Sathya) and Sri Narasimhan, Vice President of a leading Sabha in Chennai who has assured Sathya to give good oppurtunities in the near future. Thanks to Xanadu Travels, Myalapore who were also instrumental for Sathya to get this concert.
Many of them have infromed Sathya that they will see him at Satry Hall on the 29th Jun'06 where he will be performing for 'Ragatharangini' from 630pm.
